Arches National Park is located in southeastern Utah near the city of Moab and is famous for its more than 2,000 natural sandstone arches. The park was first established as Arches National Monument in 1929 and became a national park in 1971. Its most famous landmark is Delicate Arch, a large freestanding arch that has become a symbol of Utah.
