One of our favorite traditions on Christmas Eve is to attend church service at Traders Point Christian Church. Singing Silent Night to candlelight is so beautiful! We attended church, then came home and enjoyed dinner (with Papa & Nana), followed by decorating Christmas cookies. We opened our gifts with our pajamas, set cookies out for "Santa" and carrots on the deck for his reindeer and put the kids to bed. Shawn and I spent about an hour getting everything ready for tomorrow morning. I love our kiddos excitement and anticipation for Christmas morning. So sweet and fun! #ChristmasEve #Christmas2019

We had such a nice time with Todd, Jenifer and the kids this weekend. Yesterday, the boys spent the afternoon paint balling on our farm and the girls hung out in downtown Zionsville. We met back up at our house and had pizza + spaghetti bake for dinner. Then, we visited the Christkindlmarkt in Carmel, which was fun and so pretty with all the lights. We drove to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and enjoyed the Christmas light display. It was so beautiful and festive for the season! Today, we had a yummy breakfast (pancakes, eggs + cinnamon rolls) together and then Todd, Jenifer and their crew headed back home to Fort Wayne. Our sweet Mason turned 13 today! I can't believe that he is a teenager -- time flies! We celebrated Mason's special day with a homemade cake (made by Mikayla & Mason), playing at home and dinner/movie at Flix. It was low key, but just how Mason wanted to spend his birthday. :) #Masons13thBirthday

Today, I attended the Heart to Heart Memorial Service at Traders Point Christian Church. I have been in group therapy for grieving mothers that have lost a baby (through miscarriage or at birth) for the past few months. It has been very helpful listening to the stories and the hearts of other mamas feeling very similar to me. We have all lost a baby. We all grieve the life that we never got to know here on this earth. It's hard and brings tears to my eyes when I think about our sweet baby girl - Lily Joy. The ceremony was beautiful and at the end we launched balloons with notes attached. Someday, I look forward to seeing my sweet Lily running around in Heaven and I'm going to wrap my arms around her and kiss her precious face. I must move forward and look for the joy and beauty that surrounds me, but I will never forget my baby girl. #LilyJoy
